I've written about women. I've written about business owners. I've even written about toys! But nothing compares to the feeling I get in sharing the wonders of research and science.
Whether I'm recording the effects of climate change on the coast or listening to a 90-year-old historian's first encounter with Lyndon B. Johnson, I can't quite get over the fact that this is what I get to do for a living.
In just the last few years, I've produced upwards of 60 multimedia stories for UNC Research on anything and everything including genetics, art history, nuclear physics, psychology, business, and health humanities, just to name a few.
When I'm not busy chasing researchers, I'm still moving pretty fast — running, hiking, or traveling across the country and the world. But my favorite things, perhaps, are the slow things like reading (I'm a huge fantasy/sci-fi nerd), yoga-ing, and sifting through piles upon piles of goodies at vintage shops around the Triangle.
